A Free EP: Forgotten Songs by Scrimshire
As he works towards finishing his third album, Scrimshire is celebrating a big 2012 by giving away a seven-track EP of songs written or recorded during the making of The Hollow.
The Hollow has received plenty of praise in 2012. Album of the week on Gilles Peterson’s BBC 6Music radio show back in May, it has received support on 1Xtra (particularly for the masssive LV remix of Everything You Say featuring Heidi Vogel) and even got Adam an invite on to the Huey Morgan show for a friendly chat.
This selection of original tracks and covers provides a little insight into the writing and recording process and different ways he pushes before settling into the final album.
It seems fitting to share these final few tracks before Adam disappears for a few months to pull everything together for next year’s album, due early in summer 2013.
