Alignment feat. Stac

Description

It’s been a huge twelve months for Wah Wah 45s head honcho, producer, singer, song-writer and DJ Adam Scrimshire. Having seen his second album, ‘The Hollow’, receive the Album of the Week plaudit by Gilles Peterson on BBC6Music and a spot in his first BBC 6Music “All Winners” show, he then went on to tour the UK, support The Herbaliser and Jazzanova at Koko in London, and play both Lovebox and Soundwave Croatia festivals.

As he goes about putting the finishing touches to his third LP, due in 2013, Scrimshire has had just about enough time to spoil us with one final single taken from his highly praised second album.

“Alignment” features the sublime vocals of label mate Stac and is available here in the form of a much condensed and more forceful radio edit that swiftly gets to the point of what is simply a gorgeous piece of song-writing.

The single also includes remixes from Anchorsong and Claws For? plus an exclusive live track from the recent tour and a little treat in the form of the Stacapella.

” A late contender for album of the year, and possibly one of the best album’s Wah Wah 45s has put out”

Gilles Peterson (BBC6Music) on “The Hollow”

Reactions

“Great!” Huey Morgan, BBC 6Music

“This is nice, warm and very soulful. This track can expect a play from me when last orders are called and all the smashed bottles have been swept up and before the blood begins to clot on the bar floor. This track will force opposing armies to embrace and forget the cause to which they took up arms.” DJ Baz Hickey (Ireland)

“The Claws For? remix, MY OH MY! Truly something. Infectious groove, great production, Stac is wonderful as usual (the acapella is actually a great listen too!). A damn fine song, demands immediate repeats. Will definitely be playing this one wherever I can…” DJ Roni Falkow (Wrongg/Wannabeats/Pop Lock, Israel)

“Great song and remixes. I’m in!” Alex Attias (Switzerland)
