Scrimshire Feat. Inga-Lill Aker
Warm Sound (Aaron Jerome Remix)/ When The World Was Young (Part 2)

April 2008

'Warm Sound', featuring the sublime vocals of up-and-coming Norwegian songstress Inga-Lill Aker, first appeared on the second 'Underground Hits & Exclusive Bits' compilation in 2007, and here gets a gorgeous minimal house re-rub by man-of-the-moment Aaron Jerome.

On the flip, Scrimshire continues to explore the style of his first single with an extended, percussive workout entitled 'When The World Was Young' (Part 2) - Part 1 will feature on the debut album!! - where the haunting choral vocals take things that bit deeper - reminiscent of a certain Troubleman perhaps.

The first Scrimshire single,You Will Save Me, started life as a gospel tune, but without the talents of The London Community Gospel Choir available, Scrimshire enlisted the help of well respected keyboard wiz Jessica Lauren to let her fingers do the talking on this anthemic, jazz/house monster. Remix pressure comes courtesy of fellow South Londoner Mark Spiritual South Robertson, who ups the ante with a scorching piano-house remix, full of drama and breakdowns, as you would expect from such a production genius.

About

"Scrimshire’s sound is steeped in jazz, soul and funk, but with a nod to contemporary sounds, and with strong popular song writing sensibilities. This man knows how to write a tune!!"
