Well last month was all about Stac, in fact so is this month (for me at least, not for the podcast). As her album gains momentum and we have lots of lovely gigs coming up including the Secret Garden Party and Big Chill, I thought I'd take a quick break to put together a summer podcast.
Plenty of new bits in here, a couple of fairly exclusive things too and a new Wah Wah single. Dig in and enjoy.

Trips to Bruxelles and Norway, gigs, promotions... It's been a busy month and as we head into Summer I've put together some relaxing sunshine loving music for you to help us all calm down a little.
A lot of Bossa Nova, some funk and some new treats from Bonobo, Andrea Triana, Jamie Liddel and Corinne Bailey Rae.
But possibly most importantly two tasters from the new Stac album which is out in a couple of weeks (At last!).
So check them out and have a look at the launch party too, taking place at the Vibe Bar in Brick Lane on the 19th June. Full details available on facebook.
Hope to see you there.

Sorry for the delay! I've just got out from recording and mixing the Stac album! Had to take a little break from the studio and rescue my ears but now I'm back! And we have a lovely bunch of tunes for you this month.
Plenty of new albums to feature here including the latest Erykah, Bonobo, Whitefield Brothers and Soundway Nigeria Afrobeat Special compilations. Something new from me, something new from Stac, something new from the Hackney Colliery Band and something old and blue to finish with.
For those of you in London you can catch me DJing with Dom next Friday at the Jazz Café hosting...

Hot on the heels of the February podcast... I've been hoping to bring the publish date forward a little on these monthly mixes and I am springing forward in March because I got a bit over excited about all the music I had around me.
I've always had a massive amount of love for the many varied forms of music around Africa but this is probably the first time I've gone into that properly on this podcast.
Here there is music from Mali, South Africa, Nigeria, Cameroon, Ghana and music from around the world that has been inspired by these countries and more.
There is music old and new here - I've...

This month it's a pretty deep and relaxing set of music. I suggest lying back on your sofa and closing your eyes or getting into a warm bath but whatever you're doing I hope this will bring a little peace to your day.
Beautiful traditional Chinese music to celebrate the Chinese New Year, brand new music from Emanative from the forthcoming remix album, a stunning track off the new Brownswood-forum compiled "We Made This" compilation and something made only the other night by me.

More music, more chatting, more recipes. Yes, you heard... Recipes.
Starting off 2010 and going at it heavy from the start. As ever, my favourite tracks of the moment. This time there is a little celebration of all the new albums we're getting this year from some of the most exciting artists making music today.
Enjoy.
