A little introduction…
My name is Adam, I make this music. I play the guitar, the keys, bass, drums, little bits of percussion and items I may find hanging around my house. Sometimes I sing.
I make this music in a little basement in Streatham, South West london, mostly on my own but to get it to the stage where you hear it I occasionally have help from some amazing friends and musicians. Sometimes I play this music live, sometimes I go out with my favourite records and DJ.
I work as a producer for other people too. In 2010 I played on and produced the gorgeous debut Stac album Turn That Light Out. And I have mixed and produced, and remixed music for a few other people too.
When I’m not doing this I also play guitar with Stac and her band. You can find a list of Stac gigs on this site too.
And when all of that is done and dusted I run the amazing Wah Wah 45s record label alongside Dom Servini. We dedicate all the time we can possibly find to finding and promoting the best music known to man. Gorgeous, gorgeous soul, jazz, acoustic, folk and funk music of all kinds…
…And… I still work 2 days a week in marketing for a publishing company. Cos this music malarky isn’t all that wealth making right now. So please do take the time to visit my music shop and maybe buy a record if you haven’t already. If you have, well, I love you.
If you want to get a feel for what I do as a DJ and where my influences are you can check out my podcast page and subscribe – I make a new one every month which you can subscribe to through iTunes or RSS or I will happily e-mail to you if you ask nicely.
If you want to hear the music I write, my whole album is sitting on the homepage, or you can head to facebook, myspace, soundcloud, last.fm or… You can download some free music I gave away over the last couple of years:
And if you would like to speak to me, tell me what you think, ask a favour – join my facebook fan page or just e-mail me at adam@scrimshire.com.
