About us...

Scrimshire is a few things. It's my surname, it is the name that I record my solo songs under and it is the name that represents a band of people who have joined with me to play these songs that I have been writing (in collaboration with some of these individuals) over the last 16 months or so.

Scrimshire is now also the name I use as a DJ. Which has become a beautiful outlet for getting about, meeting incredible people and playing the music I care about and that influences me and the band sound. Sounds like jazz, soul (even the 80s stuff), funk, folk, latin and african beats.
