Deadline approaches. One more freebie anyone?

The last two weeks have been immense. So much happening at once, a whirlwind of deadlines, pressure levels have been at a 2011 high.
Last weekend I turned 33 and my Nan turned 80, so I had a day or two off. Which was lovely, seeing family, eating, drinking. In some ways it was perfectly timed, in other ways, it was a bad time for a break. No regrets of course. On Tuesday I handed over all the parts for the first single from The Hollow. A track called Home, featuring the vocal talent of Faye Houston. The single will include remixes from Captain Planet and Paper Tiger, an instrumental and an acoustic version of the track.
Later that night I also had the amazing pleasure of visiting the home of the one and only Heidi Vogel to record the final vocal parts for the album. And that represented the very last bit of recording I needed to do. So for the next few days (excluding a wedding at the weekend) I must simply finish the mixing (not forgetting getting another postcard out on Friday).
And that’s it. Oh, no it isn’t, last night I also rehearsed the live band for the first time. And it sounded beautiful. Very exciting. I will get some video of the next one for you.
What else? Actually that is it. I’m going back in the studio in a minute to finish this thing off. I’m not sleeping again now, nerves and anxiety getting to me I think. Not long now though. Mastering next Tuesday.
Until then – satisfy yourself with one more free download from me. Last year’s Low Road/I Was Love single. Grab it here until net week.
