The Stac album and me. Part 2

Last time I posted about this I was nearly at the end of mixing. Well that was a while ago now. The dust has settled on the Stac album – well for the time being, it’ll be getting kicked up again next week.

It was an interesting process which I’ve broken down a bit with people over the last couple of weeks. Ultimately I’ve learned a lot about recording and producing. The exciting thing is now turning those lessons to my own music over the coming months as I finish writing my 2nd album – but in the meantime…

Next week sees the release of a new Stac single All Or Nothing. This  7″ release is two remixes of the forthcoming album track, one by Len AfroSaxon and one by the loveliest man in all of London (and amazing, amazing producer to boot) Blue Daisy. Seeing as we’ve got some time to wait to hear Blue Daisy’s album it’s things like this we need to snap up in order to get our fill.

Doubling the excitement is the fact that there will be a video for this release too – created and filmed by a team that includes Marie-Claire Denyer who is also one of Stac’s stunning backing vocalists (it’s a creative family affair).

And after that – well I’ve got a little album preview mix coming up that will be posted here so keep your eyes open for that and we’ve got a beautiful giveaway lined up for you too. Not to mention the album launch – we’ll be playing the whole thing back-to-back with special guests, plus a choir and more…

So if you’re interested in any of these things please just sign up to the newsletter here and don’t forget to join us at www.facebook.com/musicbystac or www.facebook.com/scrimshire.

Other than that? Well we had the artwork back yesterday and the digi-booklet, both are stunning,we’ll show them to you soon. We’re planning plenty of rehearsals, plus we have a trip to Bergen to play at a festival at the end of May. I think that’s all – on the Stac front anyway.
